Visa has recognized many of Thailand’s top banks at an Awards ceremony in Bangkok. The ceremony, to celebrate Thailand’s Electronic Payment Systems, was held at The Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel for Visa’s top banking partners for their outstanding contribution and excellence over the past year.
Joining Mr. Peter Maher, Group Country, Group Country Manager, Southeast Asia and Australasia, Visa International (5th from left) and Khun Somboon Krobteeranon, Visa Thailand Country Manager (6th from right), at the event were representatives from Thailand’s top financial institutions. These included representatives from Bank of Ayudhya PCL, Bangkok Bank PCL, Citibank N.A., Kasikornbank PCL., Krung Thai Bank PCL, Siam Commercial Bank PCL, TMB Bank PCL and United Overseas Bank PCL.
The event was held celebrate banking excellence in Thailand and to reinforce the combined commitment to delivering electronic payment system benefits across the country and the region.
Visa continues to reinforce its position as the industry leader in the application of new payment technologies in Thailand, as it has across the Asia Pacific region. Visa’s leadership and achievements in the Thailand market are due in no small measure to the strong contribution from its key partners.
