EGCO Group has completedtheacquisition of a 45.8% interest in theQuezonPower Project in thePhilippinesfromtheInterGenGroupon June 11, 2012. EGCO Group now owns 98% of the Project and is the manager and operator of the Quezon Power Plan.
The Quezon Power Project is comprised of a 503-MW (Gross)coal-fired electric generating power plant and a 31-kilometer transmission line located in Quezon Province on the Island of Luzon, Philippines. The plant commenced commercial operations in May of 2000 and sells its output under 25-year power sales agreement with the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
