Photo Release: UOB (Thai) announces the winners of “The 3rd UOB Painting of the Year”

Bangkok--26 Jun--United Overseas Bank United Overseas Bank (Thai) Public Company Limited recently organised the award presentation ceremony of “The 3rd UOB Painting of the Year Competition”. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Wong Kim Choong (third from left, back row), President & Chief Executive Officer of UOB (Thai). Professor Vichoke Mukdamanee (third from right, back row), highly-regarded artist and lecturer at Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, was also present at the ceremony, as well as the other members of the jury this year. The top prize of “The 3rd UOB Painting of the Year Competition” has been awarded to Mr. Imrom Yunu, student at Silpakorn University (center, back row), for his painting titled “Faith”. “The Most Promising Young Artist Award” was given to Mr. Sorathorn Sueklang, student from Pakchong School, (second from left, front row), for his mixed media painting titled “City”. UOB (Thai) has also organised an exhibition to showcase the award-winning paintings at the National Gallery, the National Museum, Chao Fa Road, from today until 30 June 2012. Interested persons can visit the gallery and see the paintings from Wednesday-Sunday 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
