Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui proudly celebrated its 38th anniversary on 9 July 2025, marking nearly four decades as Koh Samui's first five-star luxury resort since its founding in 1987. Rooted in sustainability, well-being, and genuine hospitality, the resort remains a serene sanctuary nestled on a secluded 28-acre estate with its own private bay.
Since joining the Garrya brand under the Banyan Group in 2022, the resort continues to evolve, blending contemporary comfort with a deep respect for nature and local culture.
This milestone was commemorated with meaningful experiences for guests and the local community. Highlights included mulberry tree planting with local students, a Layering Workshop preparing trees for donation, and the gifting of 38 eco-conscious bags made from upcycled cushion covers to a local hospital - underscoring the resort's commitment to community and sustainability.
Guests were invited to journey through the resort's history via a pop-up gallery, followed by a Monk Offering Ceremony at the RHOY RHOY! Courtyard. The day culminated in a festive Cocktail Reception at Po-Lad Beach Bar, complete with a long-drum parade, cake procession, and a Beach BBQ Buffet inspired by guest-favorite dishes from the past.
