Air Canada today celebrates the extension of its popular Bangkok-Vancouver route from a seasonal schedule to year-round service, with year-round operations commencing on October 28, 2025. This milestone reinforces Air Canada's position as the only airline offering non-stop flights from Bangkok to North America, strengthening connectivity between Thailand and Canada while creating new opportunities for travel, tourism, business, and education.
"Since its introduction in winter 2022, our Bangkok-Vancouver nonstop service has proven to be very popular, thanks to the strong support of Thai travelers, community stakeholders, and our local partners," said Rocky Lo, Managing Director International Sales. Canada: Destination for Every Season
With year-round nonstop flights, Thai travelers can now experience Canada at its best in every season. Spring brings cherry blossoms and vibrant natural landscapes in cities like Vancouver and Victoria. Summer offers festivals, outdoor adventures, and long sunlit days across the country, from music and food events in Montreal to kayaking in British Columbia. Autumn transforms the scenery into a canvas of brilliant foliage, most visible across Ontario and Quebec. Winter, meanwhile, showcases Canada's world-class ski resorts in Whistler, Banff, and beyond.
Thoughtful Scheduling and Premium Comfort
Air Canada has carefully designed its Bangkok-Vancouver schedule to maximize passenger convenience. Early morning arrivals in Vancouver optimize seamless same-day connections across Canada and the U.S., while late-night departures from Vancouver offer flexibility for travellers connecting from multiple North American cities.
Customers can choose from three distinct cabins to suit their travel needs:
- Air Canada Signature Class for premium leisure and business travelers, with lie-flat executive pods, fine dining, and lounge access.
- Premium Economy offers wider seats, additional legroom, and priority airport services in check-in, boarding, and baggage handling.
- Economy Class with ergonomic seating, complimentary meals, and extensive entertainment ideal for leisure and student travel.
Passengers travelling in all cabins can benefit from Aeroplan, Air Canada's loyalty program, which allows members to earn and redeem points across the Star Alliance. Additional perks include free Wi-Fi messaging on select flights, with full free Wi-Fi scheduled to roll out across the international network by 2026.
Flight discounts and Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
Thai nationals holding a valid U.S. non-resident visa or a Canadian visa issued within the last 10 years are now eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), which simplifies travel preparation.
To celebrate the expanded service between Bangkok and Vancouver, Air Canada is offering a special discount of up to 15% off on Economy Class and Premium Economy Class, or up to 10% off on Air Canada Signature Class, from October 7 to October 31, 2025. Customers commencing their journey on the non-stop Bangkok-Vancouver flight can then enjoy the convenience of the direct flight and experience Canada as an all-season destination from October 28, 2025, onwards.
