BSRC Joins Thailand Space Expo 2025 to Reinforce Its Vision as a Sustainable Energy Leader through Innovation and Biodiversity Collaboration

Dr. Bowornsak Wanichkul, Vice President of Government Relations & Sustainability at Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC), joined the panel discussion on "From Space for Better Living to Global Impact" at Thailand Space Expo 2025, organized by the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) or GISTDA, on 18 October 2025.

During the session, Dr. Bowornsak highlighted BSRC's vision - "Shaping sustainable future with premier energy through innovative solutions" - emphasizing the integration of space technology with the company's environmental and sustainability initiatives, which play a vital role in driving the energy business toward balanced and responsible growth for the planet.

He cited the collaborative project between BSRC, GISTDA, and Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi Province, the "Bio-Conservation: A Mission for Biodiversity". The initiative combines scientific knowledge derived from space-based technology with nature conservation efforts through the use of GNSS Tracking system to study the behavior and adaptation of Great Hornbills in their natural forest. These Great Hornbills were bred and raised at Khao Kheow Open Zoo before being released into northern forests - a powerful example of how innovation can serve both environmental preservation and scientific advancement.

"Sustainability cannot be achieved by technology alone. It must come from true collaboration between nature, innovation, and the human spirit. We believe that the power of such collaboration will lead to a better future for our world", said Dr. Bowornsak.

This project has been expanded into action, with working team organizing a release ceremony of Great Hornbills at Chae Son National Park in Lampang, this past September. The initiative aims to restore ecological balance and revitalize biodiversity, reflecting BSRC's strong commitment to driving its operations with innovation and the spirit of sustainability, while inspiring society to recognize the value of balanced development for a better world and future generations.
