A growing sense of vulnerability is shaping how people view their future. According to the AXA Future Risks Report 2025, public confidence in authorities' ability to manage major risks has fallen to its lowest level since the survey began. As concerns over safety and preparedness deepen, AXA Insurance Thailand is highlighting the need for stronger home protection to help homeowners feel secure and supported in uncertain times.

Findings from the AXA Future Risks Report 2025, a global survey identifying critical risks the world may face over the next 5-10 years, based on insights from 3,600 experts across 57 countries and 23,000 members of the public from 18 countries (including Thailand), reveal that this 12th edition for 2025 shows climate change remaining the top-ranked risk for the fifth consecutive year. 66% of experts and 75% of the public feel vulnerable to climate change. However, only 12% of experts and 32% of the public believe that authorities are adequately prepared, marking the lowest confidence levels since the survey began. This widening trust gap underscores the urgent need for personal resilience and reliable protection against growing environmental risks.
Paweena Khemarangsan, Chief Customer Officer, AXA Insurance Thailand, said: "The data paints a clear picture: while awareness of climate risk is high, confidence in collective preparedness is low. Thai homeowners increasingly recognise that climate impacts are no longer distant threats; they're here and now. As an insurer, our role is to help people prepare for these realities with confidence, not fear."
