Marking a new chapter in Thailand's education landscape, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has partnered with five leading corporations including True Corporation Plc., Bangkok Bank Plc., SCG PCL, Indorama Ventures Plc., and Banpu Plc. to launch a groundbreaking dual-degree graduate program, Chula Leaders for Global Operations (Chula LGO). This innovative program combines the strengths of the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, offering graduates two master's degrees: a Master of Science in Innovative Engineering for Sustainability and a Master of Business Administration, along with the prestigious MIT LGO Certificate. The program is designed to accelerate the development of next-generation leaders equipped with world-class skills, ready to transform industries, drive sustainable economic growth, and help Thailand keep pace with the rapidly evolving global landscape. The formal signing ceremony for the Chula LGO collaboration was presided over by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat (3rd from left), President of Chulalongkorn University together with senior executives from all five partner organizations, including Mr. Sigve Brekke (right), Group CEO of True Corporation Plc. Under the Chula LGO collaboration, students will develop six core competencies comprising leadership, strategic management, artificial intelligence, business acumen, innovative engineering, and operations. True Corporation will play a key role in nurturing talent, enhancing workforce capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning across multiple dimensions, including:
- Providing scholarships and enabling True and CP Group employees to participate in the program.
- Co-developing research and capstone projects that deliver practical outcomes and address real industry needs.
- Offering internships and hands-on learning opportunities in critical technology areas such as AI, digital platforms, cloud, and network innovation.
- Delivering guest lectures and executive sessions from CP Group and True leaders on technology, organizational transformation for sustainability, and governance.
- Developing long-term talent pathways for True employees in AI, data, engineering, and digital innovation.
