As several provinces in the South are facing severe flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall, True Corporation, as a Thai tech company committed to standing with the people of Thailand in every situation, has mobilized full support to assist affected communities in Hat Yai District, Songkhla, as well as Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The company has implemented emergency measures to support customers and residents in the impacted areas, while coordinating closely with its network teams, expert engineers, and all relevant units to monitor the situation in real time. True has also deployed its digital technology, communication network capabilities, and True Volunteers to provide urgent relief and assistance to those affected.

Four Urgent Relief Missions: True Extends Support and Connectivity to Southern Flood-Affected Communities

1. Deploying 20 Drones to Deliver Essential Supplies Amid Rising Floodwaters: As many routes have become inaccessible due to increasing water levels, True Corporation has deployed 20 TGD25 drones equipped with batteries, charging stations, and generators to support relief operations. A team of expert engineers has been dispatched on-site to oversee drone operations in the field. These drones are being used to transport food, medicine, medical supplies, and other essential items to residents trapped in high-risk areas. With real-time positioning systems, the drones can deliver urgent supplies quickly and with precision, ensuring timely assistance for affected communities.

2. True Unites in Support, Preparing and Delivering Relief Bags to Flood-Affected Communities: Led by True Corporation's executives, Ms. Sarinra Wongsuppaluk, Chief Human Resources Officer, Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer, Mr. Nakul Sehgal, Chief Financial Officer (Co), Mr. Prathet Tankuranun, Chief Information Technology Officer and Mr. Haakon Bruaset Kjoel, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer of True Corporation together with True Volunteers from various departments, the team gathered at True Tower to pack and prepare more than 1,000 relief bags for delivery to the southern provinces affected by severe flooding. Each relief bag contains essential items including power banks, dry food, and drinking water, providing immediate support for people impacted by the crisis and helping ensure their basic needs are met during this challenging period.

3. Caring for True and dtac Customers in Flood-Affected Areas:

  • Providing 10 GB of free mobile data and 100 free call minutes for 7 days to both prepaid and postpaid customers. An SMS confirmation will be sent automatically, and customers can start using the benefits immediately without any activation required.
  • Extending service validity by 10 days for prepaid customers to prevent service suspension during the crisis.
  • Extending bill payment due dates for postpaid customers of TrueMove H, dtac, TrueOnline, and TrueVisions.

4. Working with the NBTC to Ensure 24/7 Network Availability: True has deployed network engineers and operations teams to closely monitor and maintain network services around the clock. Mobile Cell on Wheels (COW) units have been dispatched to flooded areas to strengthen network coverage and ensure uninterrupted connectivity. Free WiFi services have also been activated at key locations, enabling residents, rescue personnel, and relevant agencies to communicate and coordinate effectively during the emergency.
