Bangchak Group recently organized Operational Excellence Day 2025: Regenerating the Future, bringing together Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery and Bangchak Sriracha Refinery as one, along with partners, to continuously elevate operational excellence. The event was presided over by Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Plc. and held at the Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery.
Operational Excellence Day is held annually to reflect Bangchak Group's commitment to elevating operational standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all dimensions. This year marks the first year of elevating from standards focused on safety, occupational health, environment, and energy to an integrated collaboration between the two refineries under a unified working approach, aimed at enhancing efficiency, work processes, production quality, and greenhouse gas management, in pursuit of the organization's Net Zero 2050 target.
The event featured keynote sessions by Mr. Thitirath Bootkaew, Head of Industrial Sector, True Corporation Public Company Limited, on applying AI to enhance business efficiency, and Prof. Dr. Anat Ruangrassamee from the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, on seismic detection technology developed under a national Community of Practice (CoP) initiative, which has been implemented at Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery and Bangchak service stations.
Exhibitions showcased initiatives on operational management and performance improvement and greenhouse gas management. The event also recognized employees and partners for their contributions and celebrated the achievement of 11 million safe working hours with no lost-time incidents, alongside the announcement of a new target of 12 million safe working hours for the coming year, reinforcing the commitment to the "Everybody Goes Home Safely Every Day" concept and the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050.
