Big C Supercenter teams up with Airport Rail Link to launch the first-ever virtual shelf in Thailand to take online shopping convenience to the next level.
Dr. Sarinthip Satitsatien, Vice President for Business Development of Big C Supercenter PCL, reveals at the launch of “Big C Virtual Shelf” that “Airport Rail Link customers are new generation commuters who mostly use smart phones and have digital lifestyles. This is exactly the growing and high-potential target group for Big C Online Shopping which aims to satisfy consumers with convenience, speed of services, reliability and cost-efficiency in their daily shopping under the strategy “Load-Scan-Shop-Delivery…We make shopping easy”.

The items will be changed monthly and customers will receive the exact same benefits as in-store purchases.”
“Airport Rail Link customers who commute through Phyathai Station can use their smart phones to scan QR codes on the virtual shelf, select from over 10,000 items of low-price products, and place order during their daily commutes without having to go to Big C store. With over 1,500 baht purchase, Big C will provide free delivery and accept payment on delivery site. From now until year end, Big C will offer 100 baht gift voucher to every customer who makes online purchase over 1,500 baht for the first time. In addition, from now until 31 March 2013, we also have “online shopping luck draw campaign” to win Mitsubushi Mirage, Mitsubishi Triton, Honda Scoopy-i motorcycle, Panasonic LED TVs and other 1,100 prizes worth over 3 million baht.” Dr. Sarinthip said
“Prior to today, we launched Big C Mobile Shopping Application on 16 October and have received very positive responses. In just 2 weeks, the application has reached over 10,000 downloads and online transaction increased 30%. We aim that by the end of 2012 the application will be downloaded over 100,000 times” Dr. Sarintip concluded.

“We aim that this campaign will add 1,000 commuters daily to the Express Line and increase weekend traffic by over 10%. In addition, the City Line also offer special fare of 20 baht for every commute during 1100-1400 hrs from today until 31 December 2012,” Mr. Wasin said.
