Bangkok--15 Nov--ScottAsia Communications "Daddy Cradling 4-Day Old Mateo" has won the Grand Prize in the ExpectingExpats.com baby photo contest. The winning picture by Lauren Lagman shows a father tenderly cradling sleeping Mateo. The image was chosen by Bangkok based professional photographer, Boaz Zippor. Said Boaz: "When it comes to family shots, I have to admit I have a soft spot for the masculine side. I know you might say I'm being a chauvinist and that it is the usual discrimination against women, but no -- it is the opposite of that. If anything, it is affirmative action." Boaz said that he chose the picture for its "clean, uncluttered almost minimalistic" nature. Read his other comments and how the image could even be improved some more. Here are Boaz's Three Rules for Better Baby Pictures. Second prize was won by Achanart Cammack for the digitally-inspired photograph, "Progress: 50% Loading".
