FedEx joined hands with AMCHAMto organize a ‘FedEx Career Camp’ from 14-17 October in Bangkok. 43 Thai students in their senior year at universityattended the camp where they learned career-enhancing skills.
Over the course of four days, students participated in several activities including career and personal development seminars, company site visits, a career night panel discussion and mock job interviews conducted by HR professionals.
The camp is an annual program organized jointly by FedEx and AMCHAM.
“The FedEx Career Camp gives students a first-hand experience of how U.S. companies work and also gives them the opportunity to talk with executives and employees. It is excellent grounding for getting started on a career and FedEx has long been an enthusiastic supporter of the program,” said David Carden, Managing Director of FedEx Thailand and Indochina.
“The Career Camp was probably the best way I could have started my senior year!” said IssariyapornChaiyajittanont, one of the participants in the program. “My favorite parts were the mock interview with a real HR professional. I got to practice my research and interview skills in a real-world yet low pressure environment. Plus, I got to make a few new friends along the way!”
