Siam Paragon has also prepared special performances for the "Siam Paragon Chinese New Year 2020: The Infinite Prosperity" campaign, such as "Spinning Tops Dance" by the Dalian Acrobatic Troupe, which is a well-established acrobatic troupe set up in 1952. The troupe members strictly follow its rigorous traditional practice which dates back half a century. The troupe is recognized by the Department of Public Relations, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. This special show will debut for the first time in Thailand. Other performances include "Hand-to-Hand" by the Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe, and a lion parade featuring 99 lions with faces reflecting three different eras: the ancient era, the flat face with fur era, and the duck-beak with fur era, each with its own distinctive features. The lion parade is accompanied by a golden-faced dragon, the only one in Thailand, by the Look Chai Mongkol Golden Dragon Parade Troupe.
According to the Chinese culture, it is believed that if the lion and dragon, which are considered sacred animals in China, are present in a celebration, they will bring good fortune, protection, glory, success, wealth and happiness to the place and the people, as well as their families. Dragon parade on peony poles is a popular acrobatic show in Asian countries such as China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
