Esso supports educational advancement and presents “Esso-Ratanakosin Bicentennial Scholarship Funds” to University Students

Bangkok--18 Feb--exxon mobil Esso presented 30 scholarships worth 600,000 Baht to undergraduate students in engineering, computer science, technology, science, accounting, business administration, finance field (STEM Education) from state universities nationwide. Dr. Adisak Jangkamolkulchai (3rd right, executive row), Chairman and Managing Director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, and Prof. Dr. Sampan Rittidej (4th right, executive row), Secretary-General for the Higher Education Commission, presided over the presentation ceremony. Dr. Adisak Jangkamolkulchai said, "We placed significant efforts in supporting educational advancement which will lead to the country development in the future. For 38 years, Esso in coordination with the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) has provided and added on the established Esso-Ratanakosin Bicentennial Funds up to more than 2,100 scholarships, totaling more than 16 million Baht, to university students in engineering, computer science, technology, science, accounting, business administration, finance fields (STEM Education) nationwide to support their educational pursuit which will enable them to contribute to the development of Thai society." Prof. Dr. Sampan Rittidej added, "Over the years, Esso has provided scholarships to university students who have good academic performances but need financial support. This is a good corporate citizenship from private sector that recognizes the importance of providing opportunities to students to further their education."
