SEED Thailand has honoured regional eco-entrepreneurs at the Annual Low Carbon Awards which coincided with the SEED Symposium Bangkok 2020 at True Digital Park. The winners include:
- Fang Thai produces environmental friendly rice straw paper, reducing the need for plastic packaging while employing the local community. (Lampang, Thailand)
- Mycotech makes leather and leather products using mushrooms, reducing the need for tanning chemicals which harm the environment. They work with local farmers in its value chain as agriculture waste suppliers and mushroom growers. (Bandung, Indonesia)
- SunSawang provides affordable energy access and wholesale solar power contracts and services to lower income households. (Tak, Thailand)
- ListenField builds a Farm AI application promoting climate resilient farming to smallholder farmers, decreasing the need for resources such as water and fertilisers. (Nakhon Nayok, Thailand)
- SunnyCotton produces locally sourced reusable menstrual pads to minimize waste.(Chiang Mai, Thailand)
- Yoddoi Organic produces organic coffee sustainably, benefiting smallholder farmers. (Chiang Rai, Thailand)
