Principal Asset Management initiates unique CSR project by contributing computers to build information technology lab to promote education for rural children

Bangkok--5 Mar--MT Multimedia Principal Asset Management Company Limited launched its corporate social responsibility (CSR) project under the “Learn More, Earn More, Save More” project by donating functional computers to The Beaumont Ruampattana School in Chaiyaphum Province. The school set up an Information Technology Lab for the educational development of rural students. Mr. Jumpon Saimala, Chief Executive Officer, Principal Asset Management Co. Ltd., shared that aside from taking care of people through investment products and services, Principal Group also cares for and looks after the society. Through Principal Financial Group Foundation located in Des Moines, Iowa, the United States, under the “Learn More, Earn More, Save More” concept, the Group is promoting education and financial knowledge to the less-privileged by providing the opportunity and instill the culture of savings so that they will learn how to invest for their future and their retirement. Principal Asset Management Co., Ltd. has decided to introduce the project in Thailand to help the Thai society this year. Principal Asset Management Co., Ltd. initiated the CSR activity to hand over computers to school in Chaiyaphum Province by presenting 83 sets of refurbished computers to Mr. Timothy J. Beaumont, the founder of The Beaumont Partnership Foundation. The Beaumont Ruampattana School in the province’s Subyai District, acted as representative to pass on the equipment to 12 other schools in the area covering Chaiyaphum Province for computer education propose. This isan offshoot of the fact that Principal Asset Management Co., Ltd. is in theasset management business by managing funds and putting emphasis on long-terminvestment for retirement. Therefore, the Company believed that the activity toprovide computer literacy to the less-privileged children will be beneficial tothe Thai people. “Webelieve in education for the rural children. And as we have in our stock somesurplus but functional computers, we decided to donate 83 sets of computers toThe Beaumont Ruampattana School which is located in the remote area ofChaiyaphum Province.
