Nissan today announced senior management changes in ASEAN and Thailand, which will be effective from April 1, 2024.
Isao Sekiguchi, currently president of ASEAN and Thailand, will be promoted to corporate vice president (CVP), Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and managing director of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN), reporting to Shohei Yamazaki, chairperson of MC-China.
Toshihiro Fujiki, currently managing director of Infiniti China and CBU business, managing director of Dongfeng Infiniti Motor Co., Ltd. (DFI) and senior vice president of Infiniti Business Division of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN), is named president of ASEAN and Thailand. He will report to Junichi Endo, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Japan-ASEAN.
In his new role, Fujiki will oversee Nissan's business in ASEAN region. Fujiki will lead a diverse, multinational teams across ASEAN and Thailand, including Nissan's Southeast Asia production and research base in Thailand.
Fujiki brings almost two decades of industry experience, linking the company mission, brand promise, and product offering with customers across various markets. Fujiki joined Nissan in 2019 as general manager of the Asia and Oceania marketing and sales department at the company's global headquarters in Japan. Before moving to China, he spent two years in Indonesia overseeing dealer network development and customer quality. Prior to joining Nissan, he worked for Bridgestone, where he held strategic leadership positions in Japan, Australia, Belgium, and China. Fujiki holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Waseda University in Japan.
Mineyuki Saotome, currently senior vice president of Monozukuri, ASEAN, will be promoted to vice president (VP) in charge of Tochigi Plant. Saotome will report to Yasuhiko Obata, senior vice president. His successor will be announced later this month.
