Thai bourse to list government sector bonds worth THB 21.44 billion

Bangkok--20 Jun--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved new listings on the Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) from Bank of Thailand and Ministry of Finance worth THB 21,444.99 million (about USD 618 million). Details of the issues are as follows: 1. BOT50/56/14D, worth THB 20,000 million with a 14-day maturity and due on July 5, 2007, will commence trading on June 21, 2007, using “CB07705B” as its trading symbol. 2. Savings bonds worth THB 1,444.99 million are comprised of: - SLOAN49/10/5Y, worth THB 1,000 million with a 5-year maturity and due on July 15, 2012, will commence trading on July 15, 2007, using “SB117A” as its trading symbol. The bond bears a fixed interest rate of 6.15% per annum. - SLOAN49/11/3Y, worth THB 444.99 million with a 3-year maturity and due on August 15, 2010, will commence trading on August 15, 2007, using “SB098A” as its trading symbol. The bond bears a fixed interest rate of 5.70% per annum. These issues will lift BEX-listed government bonds to THB 3.196 trillion (about USD 92.103 billion), or 90.04% of the value of all listed bonds. The total value of bonds listed is now THB 3.549 trillion (about USD 102.2778 billion). Those wishing to invest in BEX-listed bonds should contact any securities firm.
