Thai bourse to list government sector bonds worth THB 31.55 billion

Bangkok--7 Sep--SET Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) has listed new bond issues, totaling THB 31.55 billion (approx. USD 917.15 million), from Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and Bank of Thailand. Their details are: 1. PEA50/07/5Y, worth THB 1.55 billion, with a 5-year maturity due on September 6, 2012, will commence trading on September 6, 2007, using “PEA129A” as its trading symbol. 2. BOT50/91/14D, worth THB 30 billion, with a 14-day maturity due on September 25, 2007 will commence trading on September 11, 2007, using “CB07925A” as its trading symbol. The above issues lift total government issues to THB 3.158 trillion (approx. USD 91.80 billion) or 89.97% of the value of all listed bonds. The overall value of BEX listed bonds will be THB 3.510 trillion (approx. USD 102.03 billion). Those wishing to invest in BEX-listed bonds should contact any securities firm.
