Dimet (Siam) to list on Thai Alternative Market in January

Bangkok--18 Jan--SET Dimet (Siam) PCL, a manufacturer of high-performance coatings, will list on the Market for Alterative Investment (mai) on January 21. At its IPO, the company raised THB 40 million (USD 1.2 million) to build new storage facilities, support product innovation and increase the capacity of its production and warehouse systems. Dimet (Siam) is second listing resulting from the SME Venture Capital Fund business incubator. Dimet (Siam) PCL will use “DIMET” as its trading symbol, mai President Mr. Chanitr Charnchainarong said. The firm currently has total paid-up capital of THB 90 million, consisting of 140 million existing common shares and 40 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB 0.50 each. At its initial public offering (IPO), on January 10, 11 and 14, the company raised THB 40 million by offering 40 million shares to the general public at THB 1.00 per share. Asset Pro Management was its financial advisor and BFIT Securities PCL was its underwriter. DIMET’s IPO price reflects a P/E ratio of 15.26 (based on its latest 12-month earnings from Oct. 1, 2006 — Sep. 30, 2007, averaged at 180 million shares). Meanwhile, mai’s average P/E ratio as of Jan. 2, 2008, was 12.22. The firm’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of its net profit after allocating all reserves required by the company’s regulations and the law. DIMET manufactures and distributes high performance coatings for industrial and structural use, e.g. in the petrochemical industry, oil refineries, power plants and oil extraction platforms in the Gulf of Thailand. Its products protect steel materials from stains and provide coatings for wood, furniture and buildings. The company distributes its products under the Wattyl and PPG Amercoat brands. The firm has four major shareholders - Mr. Suraphol Rujikarnchana and his group, Mrs. Saovaluck Choke-arpornchai, SME Venture Capital Fund and Mrs. Achara Momin, who respectively hold 20.61%, 11.19%, 11.11% and 10.61% of paid-up capital after the IPO.
