Bangkok--13 Feb--SET BuilderSmart PCL will list on the Market for Alterative Investment (mai) on February 14, 2008. The company imports and distributes high-quality construction and interior decoration materials for office and residential projects. Most of the funds raised will be used to open a distribution and service center for Bangkok and the surrounding area. This is the third listing to emerge from the SME Venture Capital Fund business incubator. BuilderSmart PCL will use “BSM” as its trading symbol, mai President Chanitr Charnchainarong said. The firm currently has total paid-up capital of THB 75 million, consisting of 100 million existing common shares and 50 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB 0.50 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on February 4 - 6, the company raised THB 55 million by offering 50 million shares to the general public at THB 1.10 per share. Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. was its financial advisor and Capital Nomura Securities PCL was its underwriter. BSM’s IPO price reflects a price/earnings (P/E) ratio of 28.47 (based on its latest 12-month earnings from Oct. 1, 2006 — Sep. 30, 2007, averaged at 150 million shares). Meanwhile, as mentioned in the firm’s prospectus, mai’s average P/E ratio, as of Dec. 28, 2007, was 12.35. The firm’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of its net profit after allocating all reserves required by the company’s regulations and the law. BSM is the third company invested in by SME Venture Capital Fund and subsequently listed. The firm distributes about 2,000 types of high quality construction and interior decoration products and accessories to interior designers and contractors. The company’s own brands include ALLOY, PERMSIN-BSM and BSM SERVE BOARD, among others. BSM also distributes FLETCHER, C&A and SHERA. The firm’s major shareholders, Mr. Sunchai Nuengsit and Mr. Suresh Subramaniam’s group, each hold 26.67% of paid-up capital after the IPO and SME Venture Capital Fund holds 13.33%.
