Bangkok--18 Feb--Bank of Ayudhya Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited (BAY) announced its plan to strengthen its presence in Phuket by adding three new branches bringing the number to 22 branches in total. At the same time, it also introduced the first-ever Exclusive Banking Center in the province. These activities are in line with the bank’s mission to serve all three customer segments: corporate, SME, and retail customers across Thailand. Mr.Tan Kong Khoon, President & CEO of Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited said, “Phuket is a very high potential area. Our business in Phuket has been growing well. Therefore, we decided to make more investment here in Phuket. Today we open three new branches. Our distribution network of 22 branches places us in a leadership position in Phuket. In addition, we are also opening Phuket’s first- ever Exclusive Banking Center, to provide specially designed services to our local high net-worth customers. We are confident that, with the strong branch network, good relationship management team, and a variety of products and services, our customers will receive more convenience in using our services.” Currently, BAY’s 22 branches cover key business and tourist areas representing approximately 21% of the total branch network of commercial banks in Phuket. In addition, BAY has 109 ATMs and 8 exchange booths located in tourist spots. On February 18, 2008, the Bank opened three new branches including Pa-khlok sub- branch, Chao Fah sub-branch, and Sam Kong sub-branch. This will enable the bank to more efficiently serve their customers of all segments, corporate, SME, and retail. In addition, it also launched the Exclusive Banking Center to provide a wealth management service to high net-worth individuals.
