Bangkok--11 Mar--SET Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX) has welcomed Syrus Securities PCL (SYRUS) and UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) PCL (UOBKH) as new members. Both will provide services from March 17, 2008, TFEX Managing Director Kesara Manchusree said. In preparation for joining TFEX, SYRUS and UOBKH have participated in a system test with the exchange and Thailand Clearing House Co., Ltd. The Securities and Exchange Commission later approved them as derivatives brokerages. Currently both companies are members of SET. Their arrival brings the total number of TFEX member companies to 27. The exchange is now accepting new members and the application period is from February 18 — April 30, 2008.
