Bangkok--18 Mar--BBL Bangkok Bank, in co-operation with Bangkok Life Assurance, has launched Gain 220 1st Plus, a life insurance policy offering long-term savings benefits with a combined cash return of 220 percent on the sum insured by the end of the policy. Gain 220 1st Plus also offers life protection, 100 percent compensation for 17 serious illnesses and tax benefits. Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Chartchai Srirussamee said the bank, in co-operation with Bangkok Life Assurance, has launched ‘Gain 220 1st Plus’, a life insurance product that offers long-term savings benefits. By paying annual premiums for 10 consecutive years, customers receive an annual cash return for 15 years that starts at four percent of the sum insured at the end of the first to the fifth years, rising to five percent from the sixth to 10th years, and to six percent from the 11th to 15th years. The combined annual cash return over the 15-year policy period totals 75 percent of the sum insured. At the end of the 15th year, customers will also receive a lump sum payment equivalent to 125 percent of the sum insured and a bonus of 20 percent of the sum insured. The total return from Gain 220 1st Plus (annual cash return plus lump sum payment and bonus) throughout the policy term is 220 percent of the original sum insured. Annual premiums are tax deductible by up to Baht 100,000 per year as allowed by law. “We can’t predict our future health or the diseases that we may encounter, but we can protect ourselves and our families today with Gain 220 1st Plus - a life insurance policy which offers long-term savings benefits including annual cash returns, a lump sum payment and a bonus at the end of the protection period, as well as 100 percent protection against major illnesses,” said Mr Chartchai. Gain 220 1st Plus also provides life insurance coverage that increases from 110-200 percent of the sum insured over the policy period of 15 years. Coverage starts at 110 percent of the sum insured in the first year, and increases by 5 percent each year to 150 percent in the ninth year. Coverage then increases by 10 percent each year from 160 percent in the 10th year to 190 percent in the 13th year and reaches 200 percent in the 14th and 15th years. As well as life insurance protection, customers are entitled to compensation of 100 percent of the sum insured if they are diagnosed with one of 17 designated serious illnesses, including cancer, myocardial infarction, coronary artery surgery, heart valve surgery, other serious coronary artery diseases, surgery of the aorta, paralysis, stroke, kidney failure, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, major organ transplant, blindness, fulminate viral hepatitis, major head trauma, coma, and major burns. The policy must be effective for 90 days before making a claim for illness and the life insurance protection and saving features remain in place after the illness compensation has been utilized. Mr. Chartchai said Gain 220 1st Plus is available for both male and female customers aged 15-50 years. Customers can insure themselves for up to Baht 750,000 with no requirement for a medical check-up. Annual premiums for an insured sum of Baht 100,000 for a customer aged 30-34 years are Baht 17,093 for females and Baht 17,125 for males, for customers aged 35-39 years the premiums are Baht 17,265 for females and Baht 17,380 for males; for customers aged 40-44 years the premiums are Baht 17,504 for females and Baht 17,776 for males; and for those aged 45-50 years the premiums are Baht 17,800 for females and Baht 18,285 for males. Any customer who becomes totally disabled before the age of 60 will be exempted from the annual premium payment.
