Bangkok--1 Apr--Francom Asia Booklet gives handy reference to Olympic & Paralympic Equestrian Events vocabularies The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has started the distribution of the latest edition of “Travelling Hong Kong Phrasebook” to taxi drivers for free. To tie in with the Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events in Hong Kong, the translation booklet is specially designed for local taxi drivers, and contains Chinese-English vocabularies and information about the Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events, so that taxi drivers can communicate with visitors even more effectively during the events. This is the fourth time the HKTB publishes a translation booklet for the city’s taxi drivers. As well as listing terminologies and information about the Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events, the “Travelling Hong Kong Phrasebook” includes names of Hong Kong’s major tourist attractions, hotels and locations frequented by visitors, as well as common conversation — all in English, Japanese, Korean, as well as traditional and simplified Chinese. The booklet serves as a handy cross-reference not only for taxi drivers, but also visitors, who can check and point to taxi drivers the locations they are heading for. Starting from today, the free booklets are available to taxi drivers at major taxi companies and associations, taxi pager stations, LPG gas-refilling stations, Transport Department Licensing Offices, and HKTB Visitor Information & Services Centres.
