Bangkok--25 Apr--The Conrad Hotel The Conrad Hotel welcomes the truly NEW talented jazz diva — Ernesta Dunbar from the USA, to the Diplomat Bar from 24 April - 26 July 2008. Ernesta Dunbar is a Philly legend who comes from a “royal family” of music including Sly Dunbar. She has a vocal range of 5 octaves of pure soul and has sung with legends such as Teddy Pendergrass, Bunny Sigler, Grover Washington Jr and Bobby Brown. She was invited to Australia by Khesrow Rasta and Patrick Cowley (her producers) for a number of vocal sessions and continues to “wow” this part of the world. Ernesta plays her own bass throughout the tracks and her soulful style adds to the gorgeous Philly feel. She released a self titled LP in 1986 with the classic soul tune "Checking Out" and has had releases on Streetwave records as well. She is listed in the "Who’s Who of Soul" book.
