Bangkok--28 May--Asian Oasis There is no better way to nurture children and give them respect and sensitivity to the environment than allowing them to have first hand experiences with nature. Lisu Lodge EarthCare Camp has created an experience giving children an opportunity to learn about themselves, different cultures, and the environmental in an atmosphere conducive to fun, learning, and discovery. Asian Oasis specializes in taking travelers though rich and authentic experiences with fascinating people in captivating places, and created travel programs throughout the properties in seven unique destinations across five regions in Thailand and Laos. EarthCare Camp will be based at Lisu Lodge north of Chiang Mai; students will learn by action and become mindful of their relationships with nature, the environment, and the people around them. They will travel to rivers and streams, a watershed, and a nursery forest, observing, investigating, and access the wonders of the environment. Through individual and group activities, each participant will be encouraged to explore their own values, views, thoughts and feelings related to there experiences and create a plan of action that will make a positive change to the environment no matter how big or how small. Interacting with the local community and understanding them more is a core ingredient of this program and the balance of the program includes soft adventure such as bicycle riding with nature, white water rafting in the local river, and a steady stroll on top of elephants.
