Bangkok--2 Oct--The Sukhothai Bangkok The Sukhothai Bangkok will treat diners to award-winning wines from Thailand’s most progressive wineries paired with contemporary Thai dishes at a Thai Wine Dinner on Thursday October 16 at the Garden Villa for THB 1,999++ per person.Leading Thai vineyards Granmonte, PB Valley Khao Yai and Siam Winery will present a selection of their finest “New Latitude Wines” from several regions, ranging from the mountainous Khao Yai to the coastal region of Hua Hin. These will be paired with a contemporary Asian menu created by Chef Nam and Chef Vira. The Sukhothai General Manager, Gregory Meadows, said: “Thailand’s wines have undergone significant changes over the past 10 years, and the Thai Wine Dinner will present Bangkok’s gourmands with an excellent opportunity to taste these advancements during an excellent five-course meal.” After an aperitif of Monsoon Valley Ros้ White Shiraz, a Monsoon Valley Colombard will usher in the Crab and Green Mango Salad before moving to the spicy Tom Yam Fish Bisque complemented by a glass of Pirom Chenin Blanc.A Pirom Tempranillo 2006 has been paired with the slow-cooked Chiang Mai Bresse Chicken and Smoked Mussel with Green Curry Sauce, after which a Granmonte Fiori Unfiltered Syrah 2005 will accompany the Braised Wagyu Ox Tongue and Cheeks with Syrah Wine and Horseradish Taro E’spuma. A Monsoon Valley Muscat 2007 will delight the palate to close the meal with the dessert of Coconut Panna Cotta with White Chocolate Granit้ and Black Olive Caramel.
