Not only honor to myself and family, the experience had strengthen my abilities to pick up valuable ideas and bring out some advantage from each person that I had met and from each place that I had visited. In my time, it was the first time for the crowned Miss Thailand would represent Thailand in Miss Universe pageant. So, an international knowledge such as English speaking was really concerned, besides the beauty on being Thai lady in both manners and ethics. Even though the world has changed, contestants for Miss Thailand should remain Thai lady in good manners but simply adjust for the time being, that’s all.’

During the contest I was working as a flight attendant and still worked until the day before the contest. When I was crowned, of course I was thrilled and excited. After that rather unhelpfully, the representation at charity events across the country had enable the joy of my life. I was proud to devote myself for humanitarian works for our nation. I think the beauty on being typical Thai traditional lady is forever an answer to Miss Thailand contest.’
Ms.Savinee Pragarnung, Miss Thailand 1984 and a mother of three children mentioned ‘It was an effort to fulfill my childhood dream of being beauty queen since I kept following up all kind of beauty contests during studying in the U.S.A. Image for Miss Thailand was a real life role model for Thai woman regarding manners and behavior. I think this contest is once-in-a-life time experience which you can gain a lot of valued ones. As the Intelligence in a Beauty concept, contestants better understand how your intellectual will benefit our nation.’

So, I was under pressure since I was so young and not familiar as growing up in the U.S.A. Somehow, I think that the contest has brought wonderful experience, and it doesn’t matter winning or not. Simply be yourself, just act yourself, your true self that nature will bring you a happy life.’
