THAI Provides Clarification on the Delay of Prime Minister’s flight from Peru to Bangkok
The Corporate Communications Department of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited provides clarification on the delay of Thailand Prime Minister’s flight TG8849, return from Lima to Bangkok on 24 November 2008. Utilizing Airbus 340-500 aircraft, the flight was scheduled to depart Lima at 2300 hours (local time) and expected to arrive Bangkok at 1225 hours on 25 November 2008.
The delay of flight TG8849 was due to the problem with the runway-towing equipment. The towbarless tractor became malfunctioned, unable to unlock the aircraft’s wheels. The ground services company at the Lima airport, Swissport, is currently working to solve this technical problem.
