Thai Airways International Public Company Limited held a Board of Directors’ Meeting at THAI’s Head Office. Two announcements were made:
1. Appointment of THAI’s Chairman
THAI’s Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Surachai Tansitpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, as THAI’s Chairman succeeding Mr. Chaisawasd Kittipornpaiboon, effective from 25 November 2008.
2. Resignation of THAI’s President
Mr. Surachai Tansitpong, THAI’s Chairman, announced that Flg.Off. Apinan Sumanaseni, THAI’s President, has tendered resignation, effective from 1 January 2009 onwards, wishing no management authorities.
The Board of Directors granted management authorities to ACM. Narongsak Sangapong, THAI’s Executive Vice President - Corporate Secretariat Department, effective 25 November 2008. Flg.Off. Apinan Sumanaseni remains in his position as THAI’s President overseeing general activities.
Flg.Off. Apinan Sumanaseni became THAI’s 14th President on 1 May 2006.
