Bangkok--2 Dec--BEST WESTERN INTERNATIONAL Best Western International Asia (BWI) announces the appointment of Poonnika Thanasannont as its regional sales manager for Asia. A graduate from Chiang Mai University, Thanasannont has accumulated over ten years of experience in hospitality and service industry. Her career inhospitality started in 1997 as corporate sales manager for Le Meridien, Thailand. She later joined Le Parasol Blance, a boutique resort in Laos, as group senior sales manager handling corporate accounts, travel agents and government. Moreover, her expertise in sales & marketing developed from her experiences in various companies such as Orient Express Hotels, Bo Phut Resort & Spa, Santiburi Resort and Dream Hotel. Her achievements include developing worldwide market, raising hotel occupancy and creating new corporate identity and branding. As the regional sales manager for Best Western International - Asia, Thanasannont will be responsible for managing the sales direction and maximizing strategies for the different sales channels and partners in the region. In Asia, there are over 130 Best Western properties in operations and different stages of development. The aim of Best Western International is to achieve 200 hotels in Asia by the year 2010.
