Bangkok--3 Dec--Midas PR
Aura Restaurant, located in Sukhumvit Soi 2, is set to provide Bangkok with one of the best and friendliest restaurants, providing excellent International food of the highest quality.
Celebrating its grand opening on Friday November 28th 2008, Aura serves as a business caf้ during the day, providing a base for the urban road warrior to connect with the local and international business people in Bangkok. In the evening, it transforms to a vibrant atmosphere enhanced by colourful cocktails and high quality food.
The menu is designed and launched by internationally recognised Australian chef Cameron Stuart.
In his own words it is an “eclectic menu… not restricted by culture or tradition, overlapping flavours and textures from around the world and creating a fresh and modern twist”.
Put simply, in the words of one of our first guests “It’s just brilliant. There is no where I would rather eat!”
The AURA story
Bangkok is one of the most vibrant cities in the world and like the rest of Thailand, it is full of contradictions that make it such an enjoyable and interesting place to visit or live.
When owner Callum Laing, General Manager Somchai Praesaythong and Chef Cameron got together, they decided to create a space that allowed people to get away from the traffic, the buzz and the energy that infuses Bangkok.
They decided to rise above it, like an aura, and create a space where guests could dine and get outstanding food and drink throughout the day and enjoy a party atmosphere in the evening.
They wanted to combine the best elements of the many fantastic restaurants and venues that they had visited into a place that was genuinely fun and interesting, to keep the guests returning.
The Business Cafe is a unique concept and Aura has already put in place sponsorship deals with most of the top business networking groups in Bangkok to ensure a steady supply of great resources, individuals and opportunities.
Realising it was a great privilege to be in a position to open such a venue, the trio committed to effectively contribute back to the wider community.
This means that for every meal you eat at Aura, a child is provided with a meal. Every drink you have, contributes to water purification systems for underdeveloped communities.
Aura has chosen to partner with Baan Ma Yang school for kindergarten and primary students, in the northeastern province province of Sisaket.
Every guest visiting Aura is not just treating themselves, but is engaging in a worthy cause.
