A familiarization trip was jointly organized by the Impiana Samui Resort & Spa and Firefly Airlines from the 1st to 3rd December 2008. This is to give a push on the recently launched direct flight of Firefly from Subang to Koh Samui.
A 3 days 2 nights program was set for the group which is composed of 16 Travel agents based in Kuala Lumpur, where Impiana’s corporate office is also located. Khun Azzudin Omar, the Resort Manager came up with the idea of this Familiarization trip to hopefully help increase the arrival of Malaysians and to enhance the knowledge of convenience that this neighboring country has to promote Samui as a holiday destination.
The participants of the trip stayed at the Impiana Samui Resort & Spa and were able to experience the newly revamped rooms of the resort. To reckon, the resort has launched the newly refurbished rooms last August2008. The group was mesmerized by the Cabaret show held at the Impiana Samui Resort & Spa during a B.B.Q. dinner on the night of their arrival.
Part of the program was an island tour, where the famous tourist spots were visited. To make the experience more memorable, The Library hosted a fabulous lunch whilst Bandara’s Resort Manager Steven Berger generously gave away a prize for lucky draw during dinner. These happenings were all conducted during the second day.
The group was impressed more during the third day when they visited the golf courses on the island namely Santiburi Golf and Royal Samui Golf Country Club. Amazement shown in each of the participants when a tour on the golf course was made. It was needless to say that the island is not only a destination for beach lovers but also for those who are looking for exotic places to relax and unwind. “The tourist spots are incomparable”, regarded by Ms. Zurina Abdullah after visiting the Hin Ta Hin Yai.
For most, it was a first time visit on the island, making them feel that they are on a rapture of relaxation.
