The National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), a biotechnology research and development institution, announced today that it has reached a collaborative research, license and commercialization agreement with Asia Star Animal Health Co. Ltd.
The agreement establishes the framework for BIOTEC and Asia Star Animal Health Co. Ltd to develop and potentially commercialize products using BIOTEC’s proprietary targets and technologies in areas related to production of locally made feed enzymes (Aspergillus sp. BCC7178) for use as an additive for land based livestock. Under the agreement, BIOTEC will receive technology access fees, regulatory milestone payments and royalties from sales.

Ltd, a leading animal health company,” said Dr. Kanyawim Kirtikara, Director of BIOTEC. “BIOTEC and ASAH share the vision which is to use technology development to leverage the local feed additive industry to meet global demand.
