Fine Indian dining restaurant celebrates Chinese New Year and India’s Republic Day with outhwatering Indo-Chinese fusion cuisine
This month marks a double celebration in two dynamic nations as Chinese New Year is celebrated on the same day as India’s 60th Republic Day — on January 26th.
Indian Host, located on the premises of Grand Mercure Park Avenue Hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 22, invites diners to experience a unique Indian-Chinese fusion cuisine, combining the gastronomic cultures of India and China.
This intriguing cuisine, which emerged as a result of the migration of the Chinese to the Indian subcontinent many decades ago, was originally adapted to suit the Indian palate. It is prepared with a combination of Indian and Chinese spices and cooking methods. This has led to a tantalizing range of delectable Indian-infused Chinese food that has gained widespread appreciation.
At Indian Host, experienced chef Lucky will whip some delicious creations which include a wide range of scrumptious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes including Hot & Sour soup with a choice of vegetables or chicken; Golden Fried Prawns in hot garlic sauce; Shanghai Chilli Fish tossed with ginger, garlic, bell peppers and onion; Vegetable Manchurian (dumplings of assorted vegetables cooked in rich Manchurian sauce); Stir Fried Lamb in Szechuan sauce; Crispy Chilli Lamb (shredded Lamb tossed with freshly prepared red chilli paste); stir-fried soft Hakka noodles; assorted spicy Chinese-Indian fried rice; crispy fried Chop Suey noodles, and many more.
Also available at Indian Host is a fine selection of wines to compliment this exciting cuisine.
There is a special promotion during January 15-31st 2009 where diners get 20% discount on lunches and 15% discount on dinner (food only).
To mark India’s Republic Day on January 26th, diners are encouraged to dress in colours of the Indian flag and participate in a quiz and poetry writing contest at Indian Host to win prizes.
