Photo Release: Chevron joins charity Tour de Thailand to help Operation Smile Thailand repair children with facial deformities

Bangkok--19 Jan--Chevron Gerry Flaherty (right) General Manager, Exploration, New Ventures & Non-Operated Joint Ventures, Chevron Asia South Ltd., and Derek Floreani (left) Finance Manager, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., together with a team of 20 Chevron employees, joined Thailand’s annual charity bicycle ride, Tour de Thailand, for a 100 kilometer ride on the final day from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya to Bangkok. The entire tour covers 27 days, starting from December 2008 to early January 2009, with a total distance of 2,300 kilometers from Chiang Mai to Phuket. The raised fund was directed to Operation Smile Thailand, an international organization founded in 1997 which provides volunteers such as surgeons, dentists and anesthesiologists to provide physical examinations and life-changing surgeries to Thai children suffering from facial deformities.
