The Jim Thompson Art Center, in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy, Thailand, is proud to present ‘Into An Empty Sky’ exhibition n by Polish sculptor Xawery Wolski, who is based in Mexico City and New York. A juxtaposition of Thai and Mexican cultures, his Asian debut exhibition will be shown to the public from January 24 until April 5, 2009 at The Jim Thompson Art Center. Upon the invitation of the James H.W. Thompson Foundation, Xawery Wolski became an artist in residence at the Art Center for one month. He developed a new series of works, including textile-based pieces using materials from the Jim Thompson factory in Pak Thong Chai, and ceramic and bronze sculptures created at various local kilns and foundries.
