Dr. Dan-Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, a prominent economist, lecturer, once a BMA candidate, and a father of two ivy leaque grads chat with Aj. Ann in a fun and loving mood. The topics for our January guest are why the economic development of each country is so much in a different pace and does culture play a big part in it?
Dr. Dan intelligently responded that if we wisely use our natural resources including the people, we will be ahead of everyone. Sometimes, cultures that are too relaxing and the countries that are already abundant, people seem to grow steadily and not being competitive enough because there is no need to create the means. He also raised the good example of a hard-work culture of the Chinese. Because they have the “Kongchu” way that emphasizes learning and working hard as good example for the younger generation to follow.
Dr. Dan also responded to one of the callers about how to raise kids these days. He said his motto is to “lead by examples”. If the children see what you do, they will copy. So if the examples are good, they will be good. As easy as that, Dr. Dan?
