Recently Tara Tiradnakorn (center), President of Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. and executives from partner companies presented book donation worth 594,000 baht as a part of Chevron’s project “Books: the World of Knowledge” to Wanchai Pongsa (1st right), Director of Nakhon Si Thammarat Educational Service Area Office Zone 1, and Boonreung Wutthiwong (2nd right), Deputy Director of Nakhon Si Thammarat Educational Service Area Office Zone 4, who represented 18 schools in the Mueng and Tha Sala districts of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Each school received from Chevron’s “Books: the World of Knowledge” project a book shelf filled with 161 books, mainly with science and technology and general knowledge for young people. This project aims to encourage Thai youth a culture of reading, following the company’s corporate responsibility policy in education development both at community and national levels.
