Recently Chevron’s “Books: World of Knowledge” project was successfully completed at the hand-over ceremony at Chonburi Educational Office Area 3. Hatairat Articharte (2nd left), Policy, Government and Public Affairs Manager, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. together with Chotima Suriyapan (2nd right), External Affairs Manager, Hess (Thailand) Limited and Pawut U-Thasoontorn (right), President, Palang Sophon Limited, joined the hand-over ceremony of bookshelves under the “Book: World of Knowledge” program to 12 schools in Chonburi. The event was also joined by Natthaset Sripothong (left), Director of Chonburi Educational Office Area 3, school directors and teachers.
The project was kicked off in January at the book donation to 18 schools in Nakhon Si Thammarat and followed by another book donation to 16 schools in Songkhla joined the program. The project was completed with the last contribution to 12 schools in Chonburi, totaling 46 schools worth of 1.5 million-baht contribution. The “Book: the World of Knowledge” project was an education development project initiated by Chevron with support from its partners namely PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd., Hess (Thailand) Ltd. and Palang Sophon Limited. The project has an objective in cultivating Thai youth a culture of self-improvement via reading.
