Being confident in Singaporean purchasing power, the Thai Condominium Association will partner with Century 21 to stage its 1st Thailand Condo Expo in Singapore to pave ways for new market expansions.
The Thai Condominium Association will partner with Century 21 to stage its 1st Thailand Condo Expo 2009 in Singapore. The event, which is scheduled to be held during this coming October 23-25, is set to host more than 40 downtown and holiday-destination condominiums as well as resort-styled residential projects from Thailand. Being confident in Singaporean purchasing power, whose annual income almost hits 2 MB, and their preference towards the investment in Thailand, the Association expects the event to pave ways for new market expansions as well as an active trading climate due to seasonality factor.
Mr. Atip Bijanonda, President of the Thai Condominium Association, and Mr. Kitisak Jampathipphong, CEO of Century 21 Realty Affiliates (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or Century 21 (Thailand), jointly discloses today that the Association and Century 21 have a plan to jointly stage Thailand Condo Expo 2009 at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center during this coming October 23-25 in Singapore. The event is expected to become a new platform for condominium related industry and pave ways for unprecedented market expansions.
Singaporean consumers are considered to have strong purchasing power thanks to their high income per capita of almost 2 MB. Moreover, Singaporeans also prefer to invest in properties that would give long term yields, whether in the form of rent or gain from investment. In the past, condominiums in Thailand have been well received by the Singaporean consumers, partly due to its convenient geographical location, which is only a short distant away from Singapore, and partly due to the vast similarity between Singapore and Thailand. In addition, while Thailand is an important shopping and travel destination, the condominium price in Thailand is comparatively much cheaper than that of Singapore.
“We aim to gather a good number of 30-40 condominium projects so that we could stage a fairly large exhibition in Singapore. In the past, there have been several projects running individual road shows and received fairly satisfactory results. If we could gather more projects, this would draw more interest and appeal more to the Singaporean consumers. In addition, the exhibition will be staged during a high season for property trading in Singapore, which would also help enhance a more active sentiment.”
Thailand Condo Expo 2009 @ Singapore will be held on a total exhibition space of more than 2,000 SQM. It is expected that the event would host a good collection of some 40 downtown and holiday-destination condominiums as well as other resort-styled residential projects in Thailand. In addition, the Association in conjunction with Century 21 (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has also prepared a complete range of services, including lodging, travels, logistics and display, to provide all exhibitors with the highest level of convenience. It is expected that the event will be highly active as it will be staged during a high season for property trading in Singapore, while Suntec is Singapore’s largest exhibition center well equipped with shopping complexes and restaurants and a highly popular venue in Singapore.
