Bangkok--20 Aug--Integrated Communication Its Bangpu plant will be back in operation to accommodate large-scale orders from both existing and new clients KCE Electronics, one of the world leading producer and exporter of custom made Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), has announced its impressive Q2/2009 performance, generating 4.9 Million Baht of profit and total revenue of 1,376.4 Million Baht. The company is confident that its performance in the next quarter will be even better as many competitors in Europe have closed down, and many international clients have instead chosen to place their orders with KCE. Additionally, there are signs that the world’s economy is beginning to recover. To accommodate the increasing demand which is anticipated to flow in during the 3rd quarter of this year, the company has planned for its Bangpu production plant to be back in operation in September after a temporary hiatus since late last year. The company aims to generate total revenue of at least 6,000 Million Baht in 2009. Mr.Bancha Ongkosit, Chairman and Managing Director, KCE Electronics PLC. (KCE), revealed that, “Despite the sluggish world economy, the 2nd quarter of this year has seen significant improvement in our business performance, achieving a net profit of 4.9 Million Baht, a remarkable 104.8% rise from the same period last year when a deficit of 101.3 Million Baht was recorded. The performance has resulted in a 0.01 Baht profit per share ratio, a 104.5% increase from a 0.22 Baht deficit per share in the same period last year. The total revenue in the 2nd quarter is 1,376.5 Million Baht, a 34% decline from the 2,085 Million Baht, obtained last year. However, it is important to note that our Q2 revenue is a 21% rise from the Q1 revenue this year.” “The slowdown in the global economy over the past year has had unavoidable effects on various industries, especially the automotive sector, and this has a direct impact on KCE as almost 100% of our products are exported of which the main customers are in the car industry. During this difficult time, we have restructured our production processes and implemented several efficient management techniques. Our efforts are beginning to pay off as we have managed to be profitable again in this quarter, and we are confident that we will perform even more successfully over the next quarter as more and more international customers are placing their orders with us because many competitors in Europe have closed down in the wake of the economic crisis.”, added Mr. Bancha. He further noted that, “Orders are increasing both from our existing and new clients, thanks to our long-standing reputation established over the past 25 years. Our clientele includes many leading world-class companies, and this is a sound guarantee of our commitment to product and service excellence. We aim to generate sales of approximately 1,500-1,600 Million Baht over the 3rd quarter of this year, a 20% increase from Q2 sales, and to meet our annual sales target of 6,000 Million Baht. We are also delighted to announce that, our Bangpu production plant, which has been in hiatus since late last year, will be back in operation again in September to accommodate increasing demand. We have now expanded our staff to include 400 additional employees, and will continue to do so until the number of extra staff reaches 1,000 by the end of the year.
