Today (October 9, 2009), Mr. Tevin Vongvanich, Chief Financial Officer of PTT Public Company Limited, revealed that PTT has organized “Thailand Energy Star Award Contest” in order to encourage the young generations to aware of the deterioration of the environment caused by the improper utilization of energy. The Competition is also expected to help Thailand to bring about more valuable human resources in the energy sector. Thailand Energy Star Award Contest is the energy and environmental related Q&A Competition. The contents cover general knowledge on energy and related technologies, petroleum, renewable and alternative energy as well as future demand and environmental issues caused by energy consumption. The project receives positive feedback from 228 students (57 teams from 19 institutions) throughout Thailand. The winning teams will receive Winning Trophy and Certificates as well as the scholarships with the combined worth of more than Bt100,000. The grand winner will also gain a chance to be PTT internship students. In addition, winners will also have the opportunity to visit PTTEP’s petroleum platform located in the gulf of Thailand. Therefore, it is expected that the project will surely enhance knowledge and experience which will benefit the Thai Youth’s overall learning of energy as well as help advancing their future careers.
To be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 08.00-13.00 pm at Room Grand Diamond Ballroom (Hall 9) Impact Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani, “Thailand Energy Star Award Contest” is part of The 9th ASCOPE Conference and Exhibition.
