Thai bourse lists Kiattana Transport on October 21

Bangkok--20 Oct--SET Thailand's Market for Alternative Investment (mai) will list Kiattana Transport PCL as its eighth listed company on mai this year. The firm will start trading on October 21, using "KIAT" as its trading symbol, reported SET Group Head, Issuer & Listing Department and mai President Chanitr Charnchainarong. KIAT provides a complete transportation service, warehousing and distribution center for heavy metals, dangerous goods and industrial materials, e.g. , calcite, zinc, sulfur, sodium hydroxide, under European standards and online computer systems that link the operation of its headquarters in Bangkok with its six branches in other provinces. The company’s major customers include Padaeng Industry PCL, PTT PCL and Vinythai PCL. KIAT has a total paid-up capital of THB200 million (approx. USD5.98 million), consisting of 160 million existing common shares and 40 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB1.00 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on October 14-15, the company raised THB180 million (approx.USD5.38 million), by offering 40 million shares to the general public and patrons at THB4.50 per share. The funds raised will be used for business expansion and as working capital. Phillip Securities (Thailand) PCL was its financial advisor and underwriter. KIAT’s P/E ratio at its IPO’s price was at 7.38 times, a discount rate of 49.17% of mai P/E ratio over three months (July 3 — October 5, 2009), or 14.52 times (according to KIAT’s prospectus). KIAT’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 50% of net profit after corporate tax and legal reserves. The company’s major shareholders are Mr. Kiatichai Monsereenusorn and his group, Ms. Poonporn Tanhavibulyawattana, and Ms. Vipa Tantitanakornkul, who hold 69.72%, 2.51% and 2.51%, respectively, of the company's total shares after the IPO.
