The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) joins with SCB Securities Co., Ltd. and Citicorp Securities (Thailand) Ltd. to hold the roadshow “Economic Recovery/ Domestic play” in Singapore during October 27-28. Seventeen leading Thai listed companies will also join to stimulate investment on SET and build confidence among foreign investors.
“This roadshow will be the sixth this year. SET expected to receive great attention from institutional investors in Singapore, since there will be so many listed companies joining. Moreover, all firms have strong financial status, with good fundamentals and receive much attention from investors,” revealed Chief Marketing Officer, Markets & Post-Trade Services Sopawadee Lertmanaschai.
The firms participating this time are the mid- to large size companies from seven industry groups. Together, they have a total market capitalization of THB1.8 trillion, or 31% of total market capitalization (as of October 22, 2009), and consist of:
Agro & Food Industry : Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) and Minor International PCL (MINT)
Technology : Advanced Info Service PCL (ADVANC)
Resources : PTT PCL (PTT) and Thai Oil PCL (TOP)
Financials : The Siam Commercial Bank PCL (SCB) and Tisco Financial Group PCL (TISCO)
Services : BEC World PCL (BEC), Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PCL (BGH) The Erawan Group PCL (ERAWAN), Home Product Center PCL (HMPRO) MCOT PCL (MCOT) and Thai Airways International PCL (THAI)
Industrials : PTT Chemical PCL (PTTCH)
Property & Construction : Preuksa Real Estate PCL (PS), Ticon Industrial Connection PCL (TICON), and Sansiri PCL (SIRI)
SET will present an overview of the Thai economy and investment in the Thai capital market, including new products. Meanwhile, top executives from listed firms will meet with investors and directly provide information on their operating performances to investors. It will help build confidence and create good relationships between Thai listed firms and foreign investors.
