Unlocking SME customer potential by disbursing cash to customer account within only 15 days after application
TMB reinforces its success in product innovation by launching “TMB SME 3 Times Express Credit", a new product where owners of small and medium-sized businesses applying for loan or overdraft in an amount of up to 20 million baht will receive money in their accounts within only 15 working days and therefore considerably unlock their business potential. The Bank is set to grant approximately 10 billion baht of loan volume to customers under the product program by the end of this year. The product will be available to customers from 16 November 2009,
Mr. Sayam Prasitsirigul, TMB Chief SME Banking Officer, said, "Our launch of "TMB SME Credit" campaign in early October was enthusiastically received by the market and a tremendous success. Among the many business owners applying for credit under the campaign, more than 1,000 customers with a total loan volume of 9 billion baht were approved. The success prompted TMB to further develop credit facilities which fulfill the needs of SME customers. Today’s introduction of “TMB SME 3 Times Express Credit" sets yet another new standard for bank lending where customers can borrow up to 3 times of collateral value within a short turnaround period of 15 working days after submitting applications with all required documents. All of these are the results of TMB’s continuing efforts to speed up SME credit approval process because we understand the urgency of customer’s financial need.”
Mr. Sayam added that “TMB SME 3 Times Express Credit" will create a new experience for SME customers. “According to a recent study among SME owners, more than 90% of the respondents said receiving money within 15 days after loan application will greatly satisfy their need. TMB is customer-centric and we listen to our customers. The credit approval process was then re-engineered so that we can disburse the money to our customer's accounts within 15 working days after they apply. This will allow customers to accurately plan their business in advance while maintaining a healthy cash flow. The product will be available to both existing and new customers of TMB. We expect to approve about 10 billion baht in total loan volume under this product campaign by year-end.”
