Raimon Land Releases Condo Focus Bangkok Update
Luxury property developer Raimon Land has released Condominium Focus Bangkok Update, its first quarterly research publication of the year. The document reveals a remarkable recovery of the Bangkok upscale condominium market despite the ongoing domestic political tensions.
The fourth quarter of 2009 saw the Thai economy post 5.8% GDP growth, due primarily to exports to Asian markets bouncing back, leading to developers releasing more projects and local buyers queuing up to purchase them as confidence has streamed back into the industry.
The latest edition of Condominium Focus Bangkok Update, available as a free download on the Raimon Land website, explains that projects launched by listed developers received an upbeat response with condominium presales totaling THB 15.1 billion in Q4 2009, an increase of 380% over the same quarter in 2008.
The River Update
With the 1,500-strong construction team working at full steam during the month of February, the South Tower's structure is now at level 33, an overall increase of 9 levels in less than six weeks. At the North Tower, the structure is now at level 24. Concrete pouring on the third floor of common area podium is now complete and work on the fourth floor has commenced.
At the South Tower, installation of sanitary and electrical systems to units has now reached level 14 with the air conditioning ductwork beginning to take shape on the first few residential floors. Installation of unit partition walls has reached level 16.
Externally, curtain wall installation at the North Tower is scheduled to begin in the upcoming weeks while the majority of the first fourteen floors of South Tower's fa?ade are already showcasing the green-tinted glass.

Northpoint Update
Through February 2010 construction works at the Northpoint site continued towards completion. The building occupation permit has been secured and incoming mains water and electricity supplies are connected at the site. Phased home owner inspections have continued through February and ownership transfers are underway.
Internally apartment fit-out works are continuing up the buildings towards completion. The external flat and textured decorative paint applications are now practically complete and await final top coat only. The lift car fit-out works are now in process at both towers.
Tree planting and landscaping works to all remaining areas of the 12-rai site are continuing. The main entrance guard house and site boundary wall construction works are in process.
At the car park building roof-top, tennis court mesh boundary fencing installations are progressing. The car park building painting works are now practically complete as are the wire mesh and planter box fa?ade installations.
