The Home Builder Association seeks to stimulate the 2H10 market through the staging of its Home Builder 2010 during this coming August 18-22, 2010 at QSNCC. Themed under “Trend & Beyond” concept, the event is meant to be the biggest ever with exhibitors being leading home builders, construction material suppliers, financial institutions and property media. The Association also reveals that there will be huge promotions for those who sign their agreements onsite, including four Nissan March and fifteen 32” LCD TVs. It is expected that this year event would generate onsite sale equivalent to last year.
Mr. Vibul Chantradilokrat, President of the Home Builder Association, reveals about the staging of its Home Builder 2010 scheduled to held during this coming August 18-22, 2010 at QSNCC today that this will be the biggest ever in terms of the number of exhibitors. With more than 40 home builders, construction material suppliers, financial institutions and property media, it is expected that Home Builder 2010 will be an important mechanism to stimulate the 2H10 market after it was considerably hit by economic and political factors in 2Q10.
Themed under “Trend & Beyond” concept highlighting modernity and variety, the Home Builder 2010 would feature several 1st time ever housing models. Visitors could expect to enjoy a large assortment and selection of product and service offerings, while browsing through trendy construction materials. To make it even more convenient, there will also be special mortgage loans from five leading financial institutions including Siam Commercial Bank, Bank of Ayudha, Kasikorn Bank, Bangkok Bank and Government Housing Bank.
“The home building market has been considerably hit by the political unrest in the 1H10. Sales were affected, in general, so it is expected that the Home Builder 2010 would be able to help stimulate the market in the
2H10 in a sense that it could enhance confidence among the consumers. In the mean time, the Association will also prepare more promotions for this event than the last.” Mr. Vibul said.
Mr. Vibul further added that the Association has set aside a promotion budget of 2 million Baht for the event. Under this promotion, all visitors who sign their agreements onsite will stand a chance to win one of the four Nissan March or one of the fifteen 32” LCD TVs, while those pre-registered through the Association’s www.hba-th.org website, will get an extra discount of up to 10,000 Baht, when they sign their home building agreement onsite, and stand a chance to win a Blackberry smart phone. On top of what the Association has to offer, each exhibitor will also give away super special promotions of their own; hence, it is believed that all these special promotions, coupled with the hold-up demands from Q2, will make this event a dynamic one. Though it might be rather difficult to give a fair projection due to the many related factors, the Association would consider this a success, if the event could generate the same onsite sale as that of last year at 2,400 million Baht.
Talking about special activities, the Association will focus on activities related to consumer demand and behavior. In this regard, this Association’s Academic Affairs Department has set up a Home Builder Research Center in order to gather onsite consumer behavior data, from those planning to build their homes as well as those who have decided. Data collected will be used to improve and develop products offered by the Association’s members in the future. In addition to this, there will also be a home consulting corner, where visitors could receive complimentary consulting services from selected architectures and engineers, throughout the 5-day run event, as well as a New Home Design corner, where the latest collection of more than 100 housing designs by the Association’s members will be put on sale.
This year, Home Building 2010 will be co-located with Home Buyer Expo, an event by Home Buyer Guide Magazine; therefore, it is expected that Home Buyer Expo, which is a consumer show for homes, condominiums and other bank NPAs, will help make Home Builder 2010 even more dynamic and draw an approximate of 70,000 — 80,000 visitors.
